Vercel Analytics for agencies: every client site in one view

See every client site's Vercel visitors, page views, referrers and countries side by side, and share a read-only board with each client.

The problem: one analytics page per project

Vercel Web Analytics lives inside each project. If you run a dozen client sites, a launch page per campaign and a few internal tools, checking how they are doing means opening each project, one at a time, and keeping the numbers in your head. The question your client or your team actually asks is simpler: which sites are growing, which ones dropped, and where the traffic comes from.

What Lookout shows

Lookout reads the data Vercel Web Analytics already collects and puts every project you track on one screen:

  • Visitors, page views and pages per visit for each project, compared with the previous period.
  • Top referrers and countries per project, so you can see where each client’s traffic comes from.
  • Three views of the same data: a grid of project cards, a sortable table, and a comparison chart of up to five projects.
  • The last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or a custom range, switched for all projects at once.
  • A detail view per project with its traffic chart, referrers, countries and top pages.

You can track up to 100 projects per workspace, from one or more Vercel teams. The live demo shows a fictional agency’s 12 projects on three boards, so you can try it before connecting anything.

Share it with your team, without Vercel seats

A Lookout workspace has owners and read-only members, up to 5 people. Members see every tracked project’s numbers without needing access to your Vercel team, which is useful for account managers, marketers or a client contact who just wants to see the traffic.

For a client who should only see their own sites, put those projects on a board and turn on its share link. Anyone with the link sees that board read-only, without an account. You can add a password and set the link to expire after 7 or 30 days, and copy the link again any time while it is on. Turn on monitor mode and the same link works on a client’s wall screen. When the engagement ends, turn the link off or reset it, and access stops on the next request. Shared pages carry a small “Made with Lookout” footer. More on sharing Vercel Analytics with clients.

Good to know

  • History depends on the Vercel plan. Hobby keeps about a month of analytics, so a 30-day view has no previous 30 days to compare with. Lookout shows a dash there instead of a misleading number.
  • Pages per visit instead of bounce rate. Vercel’s public API doesn’t provide bounce rate, so Lookout shows pages per visit, which tells a similar story about engagement.
  • Projects need Web Analytics enabled in Vercel. Lookout lists the others but can’t track them until you turn it on.

Security

You connect a Vercel team with an access token (here’s how to create one). Lookout encrypts it with AES-256-GCM, uses it only to read projects, deployments and Web Analytics, and never deploys or reads environment variables. Analytics are cached (refreshed within 75 minutes, the last good figures kept up to 24 hours for a Vercel outage) and aren’t stored in Lookout’s database, and each workspace is isolated from the others down to the database.
