Vercel Analytics pricing: what events cost, with examples

How Vercel Web Analytics is priced: 50,000 free events on Hobby, $0.03 per 1,000 on Pro, Web Analytics Plus, what counts as an event, and cost examples.

The short answer

Vercel Web Analytics is billed per event: every page view, and every custom event you send. On Hobby you get 50,000 events a month for free. On Pro there’s no free allowance; each 1,000 events costs $0.03, and it comes out of the $20 monthly usage credit that every Pro plan includes before anything is billed on top. Vercel’s pricing page for Web Analytics has the official figures.

The reporting window is how long Vercel guarantees to keep your data viewable. Web Analytics Plus is a Pro add-on that adds the longer window, more properties per custom event, and UTM campaigns for every project in the team.

What counts as an event

  • A page view, tracked automatically when someone opens a page.
  • A custom event you send yourself, such as a sign-up or a button click (Pro and above).

Events are counted across all projects in the team, not per project. Ten small sites share one allowance on Hobby, and one bill on Pro.

What it costs on Pro: examples

TrafficEvents a monthWeb Analytics cost
One site, 30,000 page views a month30,000$0.90
Ten client sites, 20,000 page views each200,000$6.00
A busy site, 1 million page views a month1,000,000$30.00

These are page views only; custom events add to the count. The cost is taken from the Pro plan’s $20 monthly credit, which is shared with everything else your team uses on Vercel (Pro plan details). Add $10 a month if you turn on Web Analytics Plus.

When Hobby runs out

Hobby can’t buy extra events. Vercel emails you as you get close to the limit. Once you go over, a three-day grace period starts, and then Vercel stops collecting events until the allowance resets or you upgrade to Pro. Nothing is charged, but the days in between are missing from your numbers, so a busy launch on Hobby can leave a gap.

Keeping the bill down

  • Set a spend amount on Pro, so you get an alert or an automatic action before usage grows (spend management).
  • Leave out pages you don’t need counted with the analytics package’s beforeSend option (package docs).
  • Send custom events only for actions you’ll actually look at: each one is billed like a page view.
  • Speed Insights is priced separately (Speed Insights pricing), so check it too if it’s on.

Which project uses the events?

Because events are pooled across the team, the usual question is which site is behind the bill. Lookout shows every project’s page views side by side, sorted, across all your Vercel teams, so the busiest sites are at the top. It reads the analytics you already collect and adds no events of its own. See Vercel Analytics for multiple projects, or try the live demo.
